These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to any registration for our competitions. By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and your participation in all Infinity competitions.
By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
You will be required to acknowledge your agreement during the registration process.

Infinity reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website or participation in events constitutes acceptance of any updated terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms regularly. Please Note: The Competition Director or Stage Manager may override any rule in the syllabus at their discretion.

  • General Conditions
  • All registrations are subject to these Terms & Conditions.

  • Infinity reserves the right to change event dates, venues, schedules, or formats as necessary.

  • Infinity makes no guarantees that the website or its servers are free from viruses or harmful components. Users are responsible for maintaining their own device security.

  • Infinity will not be held liable for any loss of goodwill, economic loss, or indirect damages arising from participation in or use of the website.

  • The Competition Director or Stage Manager may override any rule in the syllabus at their discretion.

 

  • Condition of Entry
  • By entering the competition, you acknowledge that Infinity provides a competitive environment. 

  • You must confirm your agreement to these Terms & Conditions when submitting your entry.

  • Without this agreement, entries cannot be processed.

  • Please note: Due to ever-evolving COVID 19 (the hosting of all events remains subject to government regulations and public health guidance). By registering, you acknowledge and accept that event formats may be altered (including moving online) in response to unforeseen circumstances such as pandemics, an act of God or venue closures.

  • We sincerely thank you for your understanding. 
     

  • Definitions 
  • Entrant: Any performer entered into the competition.

  • The Infinity School Dance and Vocal Competition: The organisation responsible for managing and delivering the event.

  • Syllabus: The official set of guidelines published by The Infinity School Dance and Vocal Competition on the website for the relevant competition.

  • Safety at Events

Infinity events are public competitions. To maintain a safe environment for all attendees, we ask that you:

  • Supervise performers at all times

  • Take responsibility for personal belongings

  • Report any unsafe or suspicious behaviour to Infinity staff immediately

  • Our goal is to provide a secure and positive environment for every participant and guest.

  • Entries & Payments
  • All entries must be submitted online through the official Comps Online platform.

  • Full payment is required at the time of entry; this serves as an invoice for schools.

  • Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.

  • To reserve a school’s position, a $100 deposit may be paid by contacting 0423 241 774.
     

  • Late Entries
  • Late entries (if accepted) will incur a fee of $40 per duo/trio or $40 per group.

  • Payment must be made immediately upon receipt of the invoice.
     

  • Refunds & Cancellations
  • At Infinity Dance & Vocal School Groups, we strive to ensure fairness and transparency in all our policies. Please read the following carefully. 

  • If Infinity cancels an event entirely, all participants will receive a full refund.
    If an event is relocated, rescheduled, or held online, refunds will not be issued where a reasonable alternative option is provided.
     

  • Non-Refundable Circumstances
  • No refunds or credits will be provided for:

  • Duplicate entries

  • No-shows or withdrawals

  • Change of mind (including part payments)

  • Illness or injury

  • Event date or venue clashes
     

  • Credits & Discretionary Consideration
  • Credits may be issued at Infinity’s discretion for future events up to 6 months only, to be used in exceptional circumstances only.
    In the event of an injury (not illness), partial consideration may be given at the discretion of the Director, provided that medical proof of the injury is supplied.
     

  • Transfers
  • Infinity does not offer transfers or credits between events under any circumstances.​

  • Dates & Venues
  • Official dates and venues are published on the Infinity website.

  • Projected dates are subject to change based on entry numbers.

  • Infinity may relocate or reschedule events as required to ensure safety and event quality.

  • Music
  • All music must be legally licensed for performance use.

  • Music must be uploaded via Music Uploads by the specified due date.

  • No music will be accepted on the day of competition.

  • Music containing explicit or inappropriate language will result in immediate disqualification.
     

  • Backstage & Dressing Rooms
  • All individuals entering backstage or dressing areas must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or Blue Card.

  • Parents are not permitted backstage, except where assisting teachers with appropriate accreditation.

  • Up to four teachers are allowed in dressing areas per school group, and a maximum of two teachers may be side-stage during performances.

  • Dressing rooms must be treated with care and respect; damage will incur a $200 fee.

  • Photographhy and Video​
  • No photography or video in any dressing rooms or whilst the performers are on stage; this will result in instant DISQUALIFICATION.

  • On receipt of a paid entry, you agree that the performer will be photographed and videoed

  • Fivestar Media will be taking photos and videoss of ALL performances for purchase.

  • Please see our front desk representative with any questions.
     

  • Program
  • Infinity Education Dance and Vocal Groups reserves the right to run up to 1 x hour AHEAD of schedule. Performers should always check in with our front desk a minimum of 1 hour before their scheduled start time unless they are due to perform at 9am (they can arrive by 8:30am).

  • An age schedule will be released as soon as practical. The age schedule defines what age groups are on which day.

  • A draft timetable is usually available online, no later than 3 weeks prior to the event, for entrants/parents/guardians to check.

  • You will have 1 week from the date the draft timetable is available to request any changes.

  • A FINAL timetable will then be released soon after.

  • No changes can be made to the program once the final copy has been sent

  • We reserve the right to divide items with excessive numbers and combine group sections (ie Jazz Small and Jazz Large) where there are low entries; HOWEVER, this is not always guaranteed to happen. 

  • Infinity  has the right to amend the program at any time, if necessary

  • Sections WILL be divided into 2 (two) separate sections if there are 20 or more entries in that section.
     

  • Costume Guidelines
  • Costumes should reflect professional and educational standards appropriate for a school competition. 

  • Please ensure that:

  • Costumes do not include plunging necklines or excessively short skirts/dresses

  • Male performers are suitably covered 

  • All costumes should align with Infinity’s values of modesty, professionalism, and inclusivity.

  • Safety & Responsibility
  • Participation in any Infinity event is at the performer’s own risk.

  • Common performance-related injuries (e.g., sprains, bruises, strains) are an inherent risk of the activity.

  • Infinity, its staff, volunteers, and committee accept no responsibility for injuries, property loss, or illness sustained at events.

  • By attending, all participants and spectators indemnify Infinity and its representatives against any claims, costs, or damages related to participation.
     

  • Bullying & Behaviour
  • Bullying, intimidation, or unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate disqualification.

  • All competitors, teachers, and families are expected to conduct themselves with respect and professionalism.

  • Recruiting students from other studios at events is strictly prohibited.
     

  • Final Note
  • At Infinity Education, we are proud to offer a competition environment built on inclusivity, encouragement, and excellence.
